Deadly Henipavirus maybe spreading in Indian states.
It was detected in African Straw-coloured fruit bats in Ghana, Later it was also reported in Australia and Asia which made us think that it’s there worldwide.
The Henipavirus is an emergence of Hendra Virus(disease in pigs) which caused by Nipah Virus,
How is it Transmitted
henipavirus infection occurs through close contact with infected animals, Maybe through their respiratory secretions and urine, It spreads with people who have Nipah virus Infection, and having partially eaten fruit under trees in which bats foraged.
Fever, Vomiting, headache, dizziness and loss of consciousness, Kidney impairment, Rising heart rates or blood pressure, gastrointestinal tract.
There are no Vaccine or antiviral drug has been developed so far but to prevent it by having less contact fruit bats, isolation of sick animals especially pig and horse, maintain hygiene and intensive hand washing practices.
